Purchased these on amazon for $27 and a perfect direct replacement for the 06-10 m35/45.

Actually when I went to replace the fog light I followed the video EdBwoy posted step by step. I realized on the 2nd light I didn't have to remove 80% of the things in the video. I shaved @ least 20 minutes off.

Lol, did you watch play-pause as you worked or did you watch the entire thing before starting work? I had half the car disassembled because I was under there for other business.

Anyway, how did you do it? I'm all about shortcuts

Larz, as far as shortcuts go, it can't get any shorter than that. Thanks for the link.
I've been very gun-shy about the manual's "just yank at it" method since I had to buy another grille for my previous Maxima due to broken clips. Then the ones that didn't break were so loose.
Maybe I need to give it another chance.

I found out that if you only remove the front bolts under spalsh shield the front two bolts from the wheel wells you can just reach in. All the end tabs just push far to the left or right (not sure which way I went) but you will hear it snap like you broke it (you didn't). When you loosen one end be sure to pull on it from the outside or it will snap back in place. You can reach right in there from the bottom

Right on. I already had my main tray out to check on my repair of a cracked oil pan, but I still would have removed a few main-tray bolts to get the fender liner out. I should have clarified the reasons behind that in the video.
It could have gone much faster. Without recording the video, 5 minutes tops.

That's why we're here though, sharing is caring. Seeing the price on the link it doesnt make sense to even bother with used OEM. Thanks again

After you get some of the clips loose, take a towel, run it behind so one end of the towel is above and the other end is below. Then move the towel along the length, yanking at each clip location.
