Fog light question

I have fog lights on my '07 spec v but you cannot turn them on with out having the headlights on. I was wondering if anybody knows how to change it so I can just have the fog lights on and not have to have the head lights on. Is here some kind of relay to put in or something?

Hello JKing, the fog light relay probably only kicks in once the headlights are on plus the way the switch stalk is designed, you cannot turn the fog light switch unless the headlight portion is also turned. You could possibly try to trace all the wires and the relay and rewire to a new separate switch or it might just be easier to disconnect the foglight harness and run your own wiring, relay and switch to the existing fog lamps. thanks for the help. Idk if I want to have another switch that's not stock just for fog lights. It's nbd I just would like to have them on without the headlights. But thanks again!
