Fog Light Mod

I saw this on another posters car and thought I'd document my process. Nothing original here. First I started with the most logical mounting place, in the vent area under the turn signals. Hope this doesn't affect brake cooling ;>)

I picked some cheap lights from Advance/AutoZone. I mounted the light bracket to the vent itself.

Then I had to snake the wires to their correct locations...

I used a coat hanger to get the wire threaded through the hole but had to slice the wire and add length as the wire that came with the lights was not long enough to make a clean run. I ended up having to splice twice; once for the lights and again for the control switch.

The finished product will take some tweaking to sit right but you get the idea...

The output was better than expected. You could also do the same mod with driving lights but you'd need to be careful where they are pointing so as not to blind your fellow drivers.
