Has anyone found an easy way to mount aftermarket fog lights on Sentra 07-09. I'm just looking for the bumper brackets or housing without having to buy the entire OEM kit. The car is already prewired and has the cut-outs for the lights

I picked up aftermarket fogs from eBay (foglightking) and will see if I can get them installed this weekend. I'll try to remember to take pictures for a write up. I really hope there will be aftermarket HID Projector lights with just the projector and some glow around the shrouds similar to this:

thank you G.... I have the switch and wiring installed and tested, it's just the actual mounting of the lights on the bumper that is stumping me . If you need any assistance with the wiring or something else let me know.

Hey Faja, I got the fogs installed but wasn't sure how to get the wiring through to the interior. How did you do it?

Also I just mounted the fogs on the plastic extensions of the bumper where it should be if they were pre-installed. Thanks.

Hi there G, I found an existing hole thru' the firewall that came out above the clutch on the dashboard side so I didn't have to punch any new holes. I will take some pics later today, might be a bit difficult to angle the camera properly as it is very tight in there but will do my best. If you have pics of your lights from both sides of the bumper I won't mind seeing those too or at least a look of what type of bracket you used to clamp down the lights to the plastic extensions as the ones I got don't work at all without extensive modification. I do have them installed but not happy as I don't think they are secure enough and they will get misaligned easily without the proper or at least strong enough support.

FYI, not sure how you're going to tap in the switch power but there is an empty slot in the fusebox #1 that is hooked up to the ACC position so I put one of those "mini add a circuit" accessories and put in a 3A fuse and it works great so your lights automatically turn off when you remove the key. Note that your car might be different depending on factory installed options

PS: have never posted pics before but will try as I have seen the instructions on how to do so.thanks

Hey Faja, thanks for your reply. Glad to know that it isn't necessary to punch new holes. I really appreciate your help w/ the pics of that firewall. How did you access it though? Did you go from the interior and push it out?

I just used the brackets that came w/ the fog light kit. My friend and I drilled a small hole into the extended plastic, and used an extended screw to reach into the bracket. I wish I had taken photos but I left my camera at home when I went to install these w/ my buddy.

Here is a drawing I did of how I got the fogs installed. Hope it sorta makes sense. Here is a close up pic at the best angle I can get from the outside with exposure set very high.

When closeup, you can actually see the screw, best angle I can get with no modification to the bracket....

More picures of how they look can be seen here:http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3136491

Thanks Faja. It was raining today too luckily it stopped so I can take a few pics. As for how to post images, it's pretty simple. You just need to upload them somewhere like imageshack.us,

then copy the link they provide you after uploading, then login to this forum and when you reply here, select the yellow icon with the mountain and paste the link in between the following tabs: IMG and /IMG tabs.

Or you can type out the tabs as well. So an example would be

minus the asterisks and extra spaces. Thanks!

Really?? Did you need to take anything out like the intake bucket to make room? (I am suspecting that in my other thread). If so, what's the trick to getting it out? I look forward to the pics! Thanks so much!
