I was wondering about fog light independence for a long time, but never found an answer. So I searched and found this: Fog light BypassIt's from a Nissan Frontier and it looks almost like the Rogue's fuse box and I might try it. I was wondering if anyone has done it yet.

Hey there and Welcome to NICO!

That is a pretty decent write up and it is something I have always wanted to do to one of these cars, Good Find.

On a side note we discourage posting links to other forums here at NICO, I converted that story into an article and added it to our vast array of DIY articles. If you find any other great DIY tips out there feel free to pass it on to an articles manager and we will host it here. Thank you very much for your input.

Good looking out, it worked in the preview.

There has to be some people here that have tried it I will look around, theoretically it should work if done correctly and be pretty easy to install.

I quickly checked the wiring diagrams, this mod should work for the Rogue as well.

So I finally did it. It works! But the fog lights come on with the parking lights and you can't turn them on/off manually. I tried to put it with a fuse that came on with the car (like ABS) and it worked too( and it looks like real DTRL)! BUT you can't close the lid if you put it on one of those fuses, so I just put it with the parking lights. And if you get sick of them, then you can just take it off and have it back to normal.

They're still dependent if not on headlights then on your parking lights. Why didn't you wire them up so you can turn em on anytime without any other lights?
