Fog light housing heat

Can anyone with stock fog lights tell me if their housing gets very hot? I put in HID bulbs and after a 5 minute drive, I touched the housing and it was extremely hot. I am afraid I will melt the housing.

Yes. This is normal.

Nope. Have never had one melt and they all get hot, even halogen.

lol i was dumb and thought you could bake foglight housings and put them in the oven at about 200 degrees and nothing happened so you should be fine
