Fog Lamps on a 1998 Pathfinder

The passenger side fog lamp has been off for some time on my '98 Pathfinder. Is it a matter of simply replacing the bulb or do I need to get a whole new fog lamp assembly?

If it's a matter of replacing the bulb, does anyone have experience doing it on this model year Pathy?

It is the bulb replacement only, H3 type which is the same across many years. I replaced it on my 02 QX4. Very easy to do. I am not sure how easy phisically on your 1998 Pathfinder.

Do not touch the bulb glass part with your bare fingers at any time and you are fine.

Thanks, QX4ME, but the fog lights are way different on a Pathfinder and QX4, as far as I know. The QX4 has them mounted under the headlights and are larger , whereas the Pathfinder (at least the 1998) has them mounted below the grille and the are small and bar-shaped.

The fogs for the QX4 are not under the headlight, they're in the same spot as the pathy. I think this was discussed recently in one of the fog light HID threads or that might have been a gen 1 QX4 vs a gen 2.

Just trying to clarify the type and shape of my foglamps before I attempt any unscrewing/repair of them.
