I am a proud new owner of a 2007 M35 Sport. Red with Aero pkg, advanced tech pkg. Love it.

I do have two questions:1. Is it possible to drive with just the Fog lamps on? It does not appear so.

2. When I remote unlock the car, I would like the headlights to come on (when dark). Right now I have set to flash and chirp.

Thanks.

No, not possible to drive with just the fog lamps on. This is true of most cars that have a separate fog lamp. In theory, you could rewire those bulbs to a separate switch in the car, but that is a lot of work.

In modern cars, there is usually no direct wire from the switch to the lamp ... the switch setting usually goes over some sort of internal data to the lighting controller and from there to a controller in the engine compartment that activates a relay for the lamp.

Unfortunately, I do not know the answer to this question ... what does the Owner's Manual say is possible for this capability?

Thanks for the reply.

My last two cars (Chrysler 300M and Chrysler 300C both had the capability of driving with the fog lights on.I would put the lights in the parking light position and then pull the switch, which turned on the fog lights. I liked it for day time driving. Safety and it looked good.

I could not find anything in the manual that showed how to set the unlock function to turn on the headlights at night. Again, it was a feature on my previous car that I liked.

Thanks again.

Hmmm ... okay. BTW, did you want the lights to simply come on and stay on till you started the car? Or flash once or twice?
