I have a 6" DA polisher with a complement of foam pads (Orange, gray, blue etc). I know each of these pads has different cutting ability. Question is can I use say the orange pad with a bonnet over it and just replace the bonnet as I progress or will that diminish the performance of the pad? Or do I need to get multiple say orange pads to work the entire car? Opinions, experience, advise?
