I was on NPORA for a bit and noticed many members used http://www.importpartspro.com/70017an001.html HKS foam filters. Sounds better then my K&N, i know off road vehicles use foam. Any ideas?

foam is garbage it degrades quickly and will get sucked into your motor. lawmowers use them as a prefilter with cotton underneath so its not an issue. most companies use foam as pre filters in this fashion, but as an exclusive filter no ITS A FAIL. had a 4 wheeler with a foam filter old but it desinegrated and got sucked into the motor

Yeah I was thinking about getting one, only $20, K&N is almost $50.

yea after they lost there patent rights a few years back, everybody makes k&n knock offs

but its important to remember that unless you are increasing the size of the filter media more flow equals less filtration.
