My question is for those that own these wheels for a while now, what tire size did you pick and are you happy with that now or would you change based on what you've learned from driving the cars . Most interested in tire size, than brand. Also this is for the s13 chasis.

You need to read the stickes. Be more specific about your goals for the car.

ok. Say you bought the 17x8 FN01R-C WHEELS .Searched and searched for tire size recommendations.Never getting a clear answer as to the best tire size with stock suspension or mild coilovers (TEIN BASIC,TANABE S-0C2 OR NISMO S TUNE) you went with -------? And now that you did that and have driven your choice for a while, did you make a mistake or got it right in hindsight.

read the FAQ. It has a huge amount of information on tire sizing. Unless your car is making massive amounts of power, you will probably want to maintain the same overall tire diameter, which will result in using lower sidewalls. A 225 is a perfect fit for an 8" rim. Some go slightly larger, others stretch 205s for more response.

Looking for tire size recomendations and FN-01R-so-played-out on this board and havn't found anything by searching....BS.

There's at least 40 threads on that subject.

Also, you still haven't specified the budget, use of car, etc. for us to provide a decent recomendation for you. Please read the "attention" sticky at a minimum.

Agree with above as I know I've personally posted this crap a bunch of times, but....

The best I could fit with D2 coilovers and no spacers were 215/45 Front and 235/40 Rear. I think it feels just fine and matches the stock speedo.

Although I'm going to later move up to a 9" rear and running a small spacer up front for future use.=)

^^love that picture too! Yes!!

17x8 +35 front clears coilovers with 215/45-17

Use this size front and rear to give you a neutral easy fitting package that you can rotate front to rear for maximum tire life.

or do 215/45-17 front and 245/40-17 rear

or do 17x9 +15 rear with either 245/40-17 or 255/40-17 but be aware the wider the tire and, considering your camber setting and ride height, you'll need to take a hard look at rolling very slightly. Easy job if you've ever done it.

With my 17x8 +35 FNO1's I did 215/45-17 front / rearI tested everything from 215 to 225/45 to 245/40 to 255/40 to some ill 275/35 drag slicks. it can all fit. What compromises you make to get it to fit is up to you really.

Good luck...
