ok here's the deal, i had ordered a set of rims from an unnamed company and this is what i received.

17x7 in 3517x8 in 35, which is great, but they sent me 5 lug. I have 4.

The problem is that 5Zigen is backordered till the end of August, but they say they can give me 17x8's all the way around...the drawback is that they don't have a S13 fitment for the front of them in an 8. In a 4 lug as far as i know. Someone else have any insight on this?

I don't see how you can stuff a 17x8 35 up front with my D2 coilovers....

Someone please help me figure this out as i've already been waiting a month and a half, and i'm rolling bald tires. WIth new tires waiting for rims. 215/45/17 and 235/40/17

Thanx in advanceRichard

I am running 7.5" +30 with my D2 coilovers on a S13 and they work fine, but the 8.0" +35 would be 11mm closer. I am thinking that will be VERY close to the tire. I mean I can probably fit my fingers inbetween the coilover and wheel/tire, but I wam pretty sure with the 8.0" +35mm it is going to rub or be within 1-3mm. I am running a 225 tire, btw.

my 215 would definately be stretched more than your 225...but still can't decide whether it's worth the risk, or hassle of having another set shipped without knowing

according to what I've rea,d I'm rpetty sure 8 inch + 35 front would not clear... yup, those wheels are always backed up, though you can find some places that have them in stock and ready to ship

I'd say get the wheels and some small spacers (5 or 8mm). If you don't need the spacers, sell em. If you do, you'll have them on you.

alright i guess it beats waiting till the end of august...although that makes me kinda wish i hadn't gotten 215 up front...isn't that kind of a stretch.

alright i decided to go with both 8's and after i wear out these tires i'll switch to 225/45 all the way around. I'll get some 8mm ones for up front. Is it gonna hurt the bearings and such if i put some on the back like 15-20, if i get a say 30mm wide fenders on the rear?

my thought was that it would offset the track a little bit having the extra track width up front, but i guess that's only 16mm difference between both sides..

what do ya think?

If you're getting 30mm fenders, don't try to fill them up with spacers. You should be getting wide *** wheels at that point.

i was just hoping to nick it by w/o switching to 5 lug. I guess i'll just leave it and run the small spacers up front, and switch it to a 5mm spacer so it's not noticeable.

i figure i'll wait 6 mo, when i need new tires and swap the 17x8 rears for 17x10...that should fill up the wide fenders=) chmercers just look mean. what's the widest tire you can fit up front? Hopefully not just 225...hoping at least 235. Then like 265 in the rear.

I figure i'll just swap the rear to 5 lug, since i'll already have the fronts.

well it fit w/o spacers with the 215 up front, there is no way anything bigger would fit though.

Is it just me or does the 5-lug version look different than the 4-lug? Anyone with either version, please speak up cuz I'd like to get these wheels too but prefer how they look in 5-lug.

they look the same, they look different depending on the width you get. Since i still have the 5 lugs sitting at my house that they shipped me.

This is a little late, but 8mm isn't necessarily a "small spacer".

It'll require you to get longer wheel studs.. You CANNOT use the stock wheel studs with 8mm spacers. :) It may be too late to help this guy now, but perhaps it'll help someone who runs a search inquiring about spacers..

i didn't even need spacers to start with, which i had posted a few up, but i was intending to get 60mm Nismo wheel studs.=) i do my homework. Hopefully everyone else will as well. To avoid pricey mistakes, or broken parts.
