Ok guys, here is my "dilemma" I purchased my 07 G35s 2 months ago and did the clutch pedal adjustment on it because the engagement point was to high for me. It took the little sloppy play out of it towards the top and the engagement point was now lower. It was great for 2 months until I go to start it one day and the clutch feels soft. I can drive around for an hour and it starts to stiffen back up and then when it sits it will go soft again. I called the Infiniti dealer to see if the slave cylinder recall was preformed and it was. Now I think I might have to replace both SMC and CMC. Anyone dropped the transmission to replace the SMC on an 07 yet? I can't believe one of these would be going out again at 98,000 miles after it was replaced. First post on this site.

Welcome to NICO! I had an 05 coupe. They replaced my entire transmission for that issue and it only had 15k miles... They tried to do the slave cylinder first, but then I had a synchronizer fail. I had the dealership put on a lightweight flywheel and stage 1 clutch while they had the trans dropped...sold it a few months later because I couldn't take the chatter and needed a larger car anyway.

Thanks for the welcome! I was pondering replacing the clutch if I have to drop the transmission but was thinking of putting OEM parts back in for that reason. Fixing to bite the bullet and call the dealer to see if they can do anything about it with no money out of my pocket. I was considering doing it myself but I don't know how much of a pain it's going to be without a lift. So if I have to pay out to get it worked on, I was just going to supply the zspeed beefed up SMC so it will last through another clutch later down the road. Many mods on my list and have to deal with this first
