i heard that having two sidemounts is more effective. just what one Z32 enthusiast told me though.

and yeah i think the worth-ness of it depends a lot on your set up or future set up.

well if you think about it the car was made with the side mounts and they most likely designed the car for maximum airflow through those ducts so placing an intercooler in the front center when the car was designed for airflow through the front side will prob not give you as good performance as would doing things as it was intended.... but thats thinking about it logically... im sure there are ways to get optimum airflow through the front center via front facias and so on and so forth... i mostly like front moutns for the look
