Alright, I read somewhere that you can take a FMIC from a supra and put it on a KA-T.

My question is does anyone know if it will fit? As in the modifications necessary compared to say, the greddy FMIC that you have to cut some of the bumper support....

Also, if I were to get ahold of a supra, could I use one of the turbos from the supra on the KA? Or are turbos generally engine specific?

I'm not gonna flame you. But P L E A S E use the big red SEARCH button at the top of the screen. And also, in the beginning of the thread, there is one that says "Read this First!". Here's the link to alot of stuff that pertains to the KA-T. zerothread/99647 There is a link in there somewhere that will tell you what kind, size, and type of intercooler comes out of 'said' car.I'm not gonna dig for you, but I will sure try and point you in the right direction. zerosearch

Supra's dont have a fmic intercooler stock...

Supras have two different size turbos, and yes turbos are somewhat displacement specific...

Any FMIC setup not specifically fabricated for the model 240 you have will need pipe modifications, possible bumper modifications and probably coupling changes.

Yea they do... Both MK3 and MK4. They just aren't your idea of a front mount..

You would be better off just buying an intercooler off Ebay.

I've been wondering if a T04E 50trim running 10-12lbs even needs an intercooler.

Perhaps I'll dyno mine with the IC and then with an aluminum test pipe in it's place.

Or just run an IAT sensor on the hotpipe..

Just on the common sense part, I wouldn't try it. How dumb will that sound? "I blew my engine running 10psi because I didn't run an intercooler..." Now if you are running water injection...thats a different story..
