fmic setup questions

right now i just got a lil side intercooler on my rb20det in a 1990 240sx i want to go to a fmic just dont really know what to go with weather an ebay one will be good enough for my power ill have a front mount plenum and goal is only like 300 whp
dont know if i should just get a small one or big one ether

i know u get what u pay for but the greddy ones iv seen are like 800-1k for just the intercooler i dont mind spending a lil bit of money but dam for my goals that just seems a lil ridiculous and id kinda like a black one so it dont stick out to much not that it matters i just dont like bling bling

The old "YGWYPF" doesn't apply to intercoolers, in my experience. Get an ebay one that fits, from a reputable seller with lots of feedback, and rock it.

For 300whp, you won't need a big one, and even if you don't find a black one, you can paint a silver one with radiator paint.

Yeah, yeah, I hear everyone already freaking out "OMG don't paint an intercooler WTFBBQ!" Shut it. He's not building a 1200whp Godzilla. Paint isn't going to affect it one bit.

sweet and glad that rule dont apply and not much to keep posted on just buyin parts over the winter waiting for the snow to melt to i can drive it again but ill make a thread when i actually start working on the car only thing iv done to it so far is ls2 coil packs before winter came cuz the ignitor was bad
