I don't own an RB but have done SR's and KA turbos in my s14 Chasis.

Im wondering how some how done their intercoolerpiping and what options we have? I've looked on the hybrid intercooler website but cannot find a preset kit?

I'm thinking if you have a stock upper intake plenum, get a s14 ARC FMIC, theres the wrap around type which is similar in where the piping comes from, its the same area as the sidemount.

Other options, get the plenum and run a s14 sr intercooler from say like greddy? or if you don't have the plenum get a pipe that runs from that plenum to that area? what do you think?

invest in a pipebender and start massproding the pipes. I am sure there are more than a few people who would pony up the cash to save themselves the trouble.

Great idea, when I get my set done, i'll have them duplicate a pipe and sell it on my website....www.speeddreamz.net Expect to see it by the end of the summer, or atleast how my setup will be working.

So did you have the kit made or modify a R33 kit? That is the same/similiar setup as the R33 Greddy kit I have for the 32.

Hey RB, if ya got an RB flaunt it! Sheittt you'd floss those pics if you had a clean swap! I just take pride in my work. He asked for pics anyways lol

That is exactly the same for the R33 skyline. No mods to the piping at all. For some odd reason you have to do the same mods to the 240 as the skyline to get it to fit right. Cut the hole in the side by the take then bolt up the I/C and cut another hole going to the turbo. Easy took me about 2-3 hours to mount everything. Seems like alot of time but I had to cut, hack, drill, clamp and duct tape everything. Not bad for 3 hours though. Hope you like the pix LOL

i made my own piping just like the hybrid kits. but the cold pipe gets way way hot.

my setup now is ghetto and im awaiting a intercooler with in/out on same side.

i basically have a pipe running across the intercooler, then a box type thing a majigger to sweep the air back in. also attached my bov to it, so it looks really wierd.

Ya got a clean setup going there, but i hate how you gotta run it over the top, its a lotta bling...but i just like bling on the sides and the engine...unobstructed, thats why i hated how the throttle body is over the motor...why the hell they gotta go and do that? damn nissan.

its cuz the stock setup is meant for a side mount. in order to not run the crossover pipe, you either need to get the gtr style intake manifold, or get a vertical style ic w/ the inlet and outlet on the same side. friend of mine has the latter. clean setup.

Yep, thats what i posted up above. I was thinking that the crossover i/c doesn't look as clean because the drivers side gets too crowded with an intake, 2 i/c piping and all the piping going to that side.

Go to Ebay and do a seach for "GT spec intercooler". As far as I know they have a kit on there right now. I just bought mine last wednesday (5/4/05) and got in the following monday (5/9/05). I really it. Very nice intercooler and good piping.

I don't know about you guys but it seems like running that cold pipe back through the engine is kinda counter productive. I have seen guys running the hot pipe across the radiator then the cold just goes over the valve cover. That seems like a better idea to me. Since I can't afford a front facing intake manifold I am just going to run a 120 degree bend at the throttle body. Sure this doesn't flow that well but its a trade off between reheating the air you just cooled and pressurizing the piping and having less flow to me less flow seems better until I can afford a front facing plenum. I have seen some guys in Aussie land do it and this seems like the lesser of two evils. Just a thought.~ANDREW~

There are no kits yet for the swap, that is why you are not finding them.

Pretty much, a FMIC setup for an SR20DET or RB26DETT skyline should do the job.. if not, you'll need some modification obviously.

I'm customizing mine with a tig.

I finished my intercooler piping (rb26 in an s13) a week or 2 ago. I am using thoe OME rb26 piping and recirculation system. It fits suprisionly well. I had to cut a hole in the passengers side frame rail. I also had to notch some of the lower framerail on the drivers side. Heres some pics.
