They are fine. Its not like it takes any brain power to make an intercooler. Any monkey that can weld aluminum can do it just as well as any other. Ive been running an ebay fmic for years and have absolutely zero complaints.

I wish I could just get the piping from them. I already have an intercooler. But I don;t trust the locals to do jack on my ride anymore after they messed up my exhaust install. I had to turn around and go to the hobby shop and do my best to un**** what they did.

Eeyeah, because the lower hotpipe is routed totally different on S14s.

Funny because the hot pipe bolts up fine and the cold pipe is all out of wack.

every thread I have ever read was that the S14 SR setup was a perfect fit. I think we are getting a bit mixed up as there are some talking about KA and some talking about SR.....

edit:god I need to learn to re-read my posts before I post.

It's definately not the KA kit. It is the S14 SR kit. The S14 SR's throttle body sits up high like a CA. I talked to the guys at 240sxmotoring.com when I was buying my greddy intercooler kit and they advised me to get the s13 SR kit and mod the cold pipe because the s14 hot pipes are routed totally differently (through a hole in the frame) and that the S14 IC has different mounting points for the s14 chassis. I've heard plenty of people say they've used S14 Sr kits before, so I dunno. I just took the advice of people that work at a shop.

I went out and checked my pipes again. My S14 SR eGay kit does not fit. The cold hot pipe fits fine. The upper cold pipe is not completely off but mine will need to be cut and rotated about 90 degrees.

Been running a s14 sr20 fmic kit from ssac for awhile now no issues. fits and mounts fine. Had to cut the cold pipe bov flange pipe and plug it if your not planning on running your bov on the coldside, and thats all.

here's the SSAC s14 kit in my s13.

D'oh. Now I feel like an ***. I thought you had to buy a kit for any S14 with an SR. I feel like a dummy.
