I just bought a Greddy front mount kit for my 1990 240. I will be putting an s14 notchtop in the car. The question is, what intercooler kit do i need? The one for the s14 to fit the motor or the s13 to fit the car? I bought the s14 one but can easily go back and exchange. Thanks alot.

Your FMIC should match the engine you have not the body. This is mainly due to the way the throttle body is angled/located in a S14 engine compared to a S13 engine. So, the piping is different for S13 and S14.

Also, the nipple on the cold pipe of the S13 is angled so that it goes towards the IACV located on the intake mani. On S14, however, the nipple is for the recirc valve and hence angled in a different way.

Same goes for the hot pipe. It is engine spefiic due to the angle of the T-28 compressor outlet pipe being different from the angle of the T-25 compressor outlet pipe.
