Really? You know what, I'm not even going to say anything about the amount of failure here.

But yes, it will. Depending on the size of the core, you might have to cut your bumper support

God da**it. That is the second time today. Read the post right above yours. I don't know why I posted it 10 times. I pressed "Submit" and it popped up like that and wouldn't let me delete. And how am I flaming? I gave you a fu**ing answer. You new people are killing me. I answered your question, so take that and run with it. Also, tell me where I insulted you? No one called names here. Don't get butt hurt over nothing

And in regards to not getting flamed, you asked a very broad question without giving information as to what model s14 you have and which intercooler(s) you were considering, and to top that you created 2 threads for the question. So yes, you did fail. Be happy that you got an answer. Usually you would have just gotten a command to start searching on your own, which would have been well deserved

Umm... the-i-m-new-here-and-i-have-a-simple-qu ... 13343.html

OP, there's no need to get upset. I understand how overwhelming it can be when you are just starting to learn how to work on/build up a car and you're question wasn't inherently bad. You just need to understand that sometimes there are answers to your questions readily available with just a little bit of searching. The best thing that you can do is start digging through the stickies (the threads that have a picture with a thumb tack to the left of them) that are located at the top of the page.

So is this how its gonna be from now on guys? We just relentlessly flame every single new person that comes on to a website they've never seen before and doesn't INSTANTLY know EXACTLY whats going on? This forum is getting worse than zilvia, its embarrassing...

:werd: I really like this board and wish to see it grow in a positive way. We all started from scratch at some point in time. If you already have the knowledge when someone asks a question, just lead them in the right direction. Be nice about it though. Even if it is something many of us have seen before. We are here to help folks out there who are Nissan enthusiast, and might be able to save a lot of money asking questions here.

Put the flame throwers down and be nice to people. :)

Really?

I gave the kid his answer? There's nothing more I could have said. If anything he is getting flamed for not giving enough info. Newbie or not, you'll get flamed if you do that. But once again, he wasn't really flamed, especially not by me. I gave him his answer, so keep my name out of your fu**ing posts

SX APPEAL, s13sickboi, Lobo240sx- Since my response was deemed innappropriate to you guys, I would like to see what I should have said. But before, I'd like to give a little recap because it has come to my attention that no one on this forum is capable up scrolling up and re-reading the posts that they are talking about. Here was my response:
Hoffman5982 wrote:Really? You know what, I'm not even going to say anything about the amount of failure here.

There was no name calling, only a remark of the failure. Like it or not, this thread fails all around. But, unlike most, I didn't leave it there. I spoonfed the ungrateful douche. I answered his question to the best of my abilities meaning I didn't have enough information. Either way, I gave him his answer. I shouldn't be expected to kiss his a** while I'm at it. Apparently that's what a lot of you think we should be doing. And why compare this site to Zilvia? Because they have a lower tolerance for morons that can't search makes them a horrible place? The amount of idiotic threads that I have seen come out of new people here makes me sick. For that reason, this forum will eventually imply the same rules as Zilvia.

Now, please type out the response that I should have given so I can see what I did wrong. And s13sickboi, my ban has nothing to do with this thread, so fu** off

That kid is 3 years older than you. Why are you always the first one to come out with guns blazing every time a new guy comes on here with anything that even slightly approximates a redundant question? I know you're probably pissed off all the time cause your SR20 swap hasn't gone the way you wanted and your car is broken down all the time but guess what, you're not special! We're ALL 240sx owners here, NONE of our projects go exactly the way we want and ALL of our cars are broken down all the time! So the least you can do is use your experience to try to help some of the new guys instead of chasing them all out the door with a baseball bat every time they don't conform to Hoffman's rules of forum etiquette... :tisk:

Was that necessary? Really? Bringing my car into it? Yes, my car has been broken down. No, it has not made me an angry person. What makes you better? You come in and bring personal matters to the table every time I see you. Im not always the first one in.

I HELPED THE GUY. I GAVE HIM HIS ANSWER. Please, dear god tell me what more I am supposed to do. Did I not answer the question? That's all there is to it. I told him yes but he might have to cut his bumper support. I used my experience to give him that info. So, SX APPEAL, tell me what the hell else you want out of me?

Well my car being out of commission all the time makes me an angry person...

Hoff I don't want anything from you, I don't know you, probably will never meet you in person, you're just a name on a screen to me. This is just the reaction I have when I think back to myself as a noob on this forum, just trying to get a feel for things and looking for answers. If someone had confronted me the way you confront every new guy on this page, well I wouldn't still be on here 6 years later. Take that for what its worth.

Your history on Nico can't be denied sir. You are always bashing people over worthless $hit, and it's being manifest in this thread. If you had a different additude I would respect you.

Until either of can provide proof of me always bashing people then I'm going to have to call yall liars. Sickboi I could care less if you respect me. What's funny is I actually used to be on the other side of this. I used to stand up for newbs until I realized how annoying they can be. I don't bash everyone just those who bring it on themselves. This thread shows nothing. I gave him an answer but I refused to kiss his a**? That makes me a bad person? Neither of you will admit that that's what you want me to do here. I give respect when it is deserved

I agree. Some people this s*** is new to them. Others its not so they think its a stupid question. But yeah most of them will fit without having to cut the core support. Some people cut the plastic on the inside of the bumpers to make the bumper fit better! What FMIC kit were you getting?? What are the dementions?? Anyway good luck?? What engine is in your s14??

Theres a difference between "refusing to kiss someone's a**" and being a jerk. There's middle ground there and don't for a second expect us to believe you don't know that. Stop trying to justify your sharp tongue by calling everyone else stupid and ignorant.

BTW this is like the second time this week we've ruined someone's thread with this exact same pointless discussion. So if you do feel the need to keep hating on noobs, consider yourself at free reign to do so, I wont be participating in another one of these arguments.

So anyway, what is the answer? I have an S14 and thought about doing a KA-T with all OEM aero pieces. If an intercooler does fit, what is a good size available? Does it depend on the hp goals?

WD used something like a 6"x3"x28" to fit without cutting the bumper or support, fits below the bumper support. He said that was good for 350+ whp. If you're looking for any more than that I'd get something bigger, which would still fit behind the bumper but you'll have to start hacking on the support. Personally I kinda like old Hot-Head-Hoffman's FMIC setup, where he used a bigger core and just cut the middle out of the support but left the sides. Theres some pretty good picks of it in his build thread. Either way I'm pretty sure neither option requires cutting the actual bumper.

:werd: I hear ya. All the new people are getting flamed. Im kinda new here too but i know alot, i never got flamed though. (yet) But its annoying to see all the people that get pissed at new people for asking questions on here. This is NICO CLUB! A forum about nissan that is designed for other people to talk to each other, and get help from each other! I think

I didn't really have to cut my bumper. I just had to trim the inside a little. I have a zenki so im not 100% sure if the same thing applies to the kouki as far as cutting/trimming the bumper itself

Guys... calm it down. Joking aside 240 gen is fun, helpful, and informative. However the OP should have searched, or checked the build threads (which I suggest you do). But for now let's tone it down and move on. As for the answer will a FMIC fit.... yeah, depends on the size, and mounting location. Some core modification may be required as hoffman has said. Just don't remove it because your too lazy to mount it.
