Well, I just installed a Greddy FMIC and Im going to be using a Odyssey PC680 battery in the stock location. The only thing is, I have two questions. First off the positive terminal will not reach the battery, so I need to extend that wire. Where does that big thick red wire connect to on the other end? Ive heard that it connects straight to the starter but Im not sure. Also, I cant seem to find a tie down anywhere that will fit my battery. I cant use the stock one cause the battery is too small. What is everyone else using for their batttery tie down when they switch to a small battery?

go to advanced, or get small ubolts, and battery tie down plate, cut some **** up, and bolt it down. but i opted for the battery relocation for daily driving, i didnt know how long that batter would last in daily applications.

1) Tie down issue

Solution: Get generic hook-end tie downs that have longer threads so you cant twist your wing nuts deeper to secure your PC680. If I remember, I bought "Lynx" tie-downs at Kragen. Make sure the length of the hooked bolts are appropriate.

2) Leads cannot reach

Ghetto but fast solution:I'm also using the PC680. It came with SAE terminals (tapered shape) that are incompatible with the stock leads. So what I did was get a generic battery cable that has a SAE lead and a rectangular end.

"rectangular end"---------- O----------

Connect your stock positive lead to the rectangular end by the use of the nut and bolt. Finally, electrically insulate the hell out of the new-cable + stock positive lead junction with whatever you got--------I used electric tape and stretched out wire loom. You don't want that terminal shorting itself onto the chassis. It's a rather sloppy and unsightly fix...but at least you don't have to modify the car.

Correct Solution:SAE lead conversion.Cable replacement.Somehow connect the other wires (on that bulky plastic piece).

I just wanted to add, that lots of people here have had success with the Westco battery

Seems to me battery cable length and leads are no issues. I'll probably go with this setup in 2 yrs.

What kind of battery tie down is that in the picture?

It looks almost like one of those universal sliding plastic tie-downs from your local auto parts store.

Werd, but they did extend the power wires for the fuse/relay box (note: that car is an S14)
