FMIC and bumper question

Did you guys who have FMIC lose the bumper reinforcement when you installed yours? I just don't see how it will fit with the bumper reinforcement there.

Especially like to hear from the guys with the Greddy kits.

Are you wanting to know S13 or S14 specifically? I have an S14 with the greddy R-spl kit and i've still got my bumper support intact. Instead of cutting it, I cut the headlight bracket thingies that come up from below the bumper and then attach to the headlight. It worked nicely. Hope this helps?

I don't have mine in with my blitz kit. I *could* have used the JDM one that I got, but I decided if it is gonna get wrecked, it is gonna get fubared regardless...

On my S14 I tucked my Greddy R-SPL behind the bumper support. Just like GraySilvia did.

so far S14 guys keep it, S13 guys chunk it (literally). Any S13 guys keep it?

that extra 6 inches of metal could save your life, not worth getting rid of im my opinion.

that thing isnt saving any life, maybe saving part of your engine bay, but its not going to keep your front end from folding in a front end collision, just a little more support, but yes it would take something away.......but i do drive safer knowing its not there ; )(

I just set it up, and cut it the halfway mark...it fits

on my s14 i cut the center section out. which left me with just the ends to attach my bumper support(the thin mettal thinggy that goes on top of the 5mph)

if it's 80% gone, does that mean i am 80% less safe?:D
