Well, the stock injectos are 270cc not 185cc. So are you jumping to 370's? Is your ECU programmed for these 370's?

What are you doing about fuel? Are you still using the stock fuel pump and rail? With 370's I'm assuming you are. But if there's any possibility, do you know what your fuel pressure is (i.e. do you have a FP gauge)?

How do you know you're dumping too much fuel into your car? Does it smell like gas or what other indications are giving you this idea? The JWT ECU does run very rich for a reason but exactly how rich, I'm not sure.

You might try adjusting the idle screw upwards a little bit too to compensate for the sluggish idle.

Rocking back and forth? But has a smooth idle? That makes no sense at all.

White smoke isn't a sign of running rich either. Black smoke means you have too much gas in the mixture. White smoke is either condensation burning off or coolant. With how new your car is, I'm thinking it's just condensation.

Make sure your MAF is plugged in and sealed correctly. Also, double-check all the intercooler pipes to make sure you don't have any leaks. What is sounding like is happening is that your MAF is metering air that's not getting into the engine and thus, your engine is running too rich. Make sure you have no boost leaks.

How is your BOV setup? Is it recirculated back into the intake or does it dump into the atmosphere? Atmospheric BOV's will cause your engine to stumble as the RPM's go back down to idle. Let us know on this one too.

also if your BOV is venting at idle, it will casue the engine to run rich also. If your BOV isnt routed into your intake after the MAFS then this might be your problem. I know it was mine.

Which year ECU are you using? If you are using the JWT program for a 95/96 240 ECU, did you swap out a couple of wires that are required to get the ecu to function properly on a 97/98 240?

And how is the turbo? Also, how much did you get the turbo kit for? What about JWT ECU?

I'm planning on getting the FMAX kit with the JWT ecu soon also for my 97 240 but it seems to be around $4200 for the total package.

heh... i wonder if http://www.cipmotorsports.com can match those prices.... :pi DO know that you can trade in working ECU's for $100 credit at JWT....

but, the problem (i'm simply guessing) is leftover fuel from having injectors leaking long enough to flood the cylinders. you might want to make sure your plugs aren't fouled and that your gap is set correctly (.030 or so) since you were running so rich when you had the problems.

good luck with the turbo! don't get too greedy and blow the thing! :D

Hmm... don't the FMAX kit come with a blow-through type of configuration instead of the atmospheric blowoff valve?

How's the engine behave when you shift gears under boost?

Also, TURBOKITS.COM has em for $3500-$3600, so I might just go through them when I get my kit... if I ever get it.
