Anyone know of any flywheel manufacturers that make one for the DOHC. I dont want fidanza or JWT, I'm lookin for somethin a little heavier than 11 lbs. I dont wanna loose so many RPMs between shifts.

if your worried about the flywheels mass, then why change it?

and what the hell do you mean by "lose so many rpms between shifts"

when you shift gears the gear ratio determines what rpm you gonna be at in the next gear. that makes no sense.

there's a company that will lighten stock flywheels to about 1/2 stock weight for $150 if I remember right

IvoryJ30t -I think he means he doesn't want the engine to lose RPMs as quickly BETWEEN shifts

i mean, i understand you want to make shifting smoother by making it spin down slower, but thats the point of a lightened flywheel/pulleys/ect ect...

if you dont want it to spin as freely, why bother lightening/replacing the flywheel?

maybe he just doesn't like the effect it has on shift timing?

hell I don't know-but that's the reason we're all modifying our cars-to make them how we want/like them -so if that's what he wants...

yeah, a lighter flywheel makes your speed matching window much smaller, but is it worth the trouble of playing with the flywheel if its effects are not what you want?

You will adjust to a lighter flywheel. It shouldnt take long either. Maybe install a B&M shortshifter as well if your worried.

JUN makes one, I've got it, good luck finding more I dunno if JUN even makes them anymore, its chromoly(200% strongeR) and weights in at 11.6lbs, which is perfect for my uses(road racing, etc) and it doesnt suffer from the ehat problems alluminum flywheels do under extreeme road racing duties.-chet
