what are your current specs? are you DOHC or SOHC? Because I don't have any specific power mods, just pretty much a brand new fuel system to support my future KA-T project. New coil, plugs, wire, lsd, custom 3in exhaust. And I have a '90 Sohc and never had a problem with a Spec V.

Flywheel would not be my first modification. But Fidanza makes a nice product. You are not adding horsepower... just merely freeing some rotating mass from the engine which will add a few rear wheel horsies. Adding a flywheel to some supporting mods is where you will get your most benefit... such as I/H/E, cams, tuning, lsd, lighter wheels, sticky tires, so on and so on.....

I have a 92 ka24de hatch with AEM intake, megan cat-back, high flow cat, dc struct bar, tien springs, spark plug stuff, removed A/C, short throw thats all.... so what do you think

Header, cams, and tuning are going to be the biggest gains now... a flywheel won't hurt you at all though.

I know you are wanting to smoke this spec v... what kind of tires are you running? Sticky tires will make a load of improvment.

Underdrive pulley helps too. Night and day difference when I installed mine.

Flywheel definately makes a big difference in the feel of the car. With your mods, i would strongly consider one. Only thing that would put me off of a flywheel is the job itself: dropping the transmission blows donkey. Ive now done it 3 times in my cars 16 year life, and i want to never have to do it again. LOL

Seriously, i might do the front pulley first, then the flywheel, just because its an easier and less expensive upgrade.

Im gonna get the ASP, just becuase its $119 and the Unorthodox is $199, and there seems to be little to no difference between the two (save maybe a few ounces, but i dont have weights of either).

'92 240SX hatch = 2730lbs, 155 hp'05 Sentra SpecV = 2710lbs, 175 hp

With all those bolt ons I highly doubt that you are gonna get up to 175hp. Cams might do it. A lightweight flywheel will help your acceleration but does not give you anymore power. Good luck, it may come down to driving and traction (fwd vs rwd).

For my fuel setup, I replaced all my fuel lines with steel braded high pressure lines, walbro 255lph, some RX7 460cc injectors, and a safc . I also tuned my car a wide band, now I don't know how much this helps, but I also have a koyo radiator, with some E-Fans, and the A/C system removed. I’m still N/A so that lets me get a little bit on the dangers side with being a little lean. Also this is a tuning learning experience for me before I slap on my turbo kit .

Get a header and then learn about tuning. Thats the next thing.

Header because most people do intake header exhaust... maybe then underdrive pulleys and a flywheel. He already has some bolt ons. Tuning can help them work together and pull the extra power out of the engine. He has an intake, a high flow cat, and a cat back. At this point he is going to see a much larger gain from a header than a flywheel or underdrive pulleys. Reason being his header is now the restriction in his exhaust track and keeping the engine from breathing at full capacity. Once air is flowing freely in and out of the engine... you can squeeze more power by adjusting fuel maps. Either with an Safc... chipping his ecu... emanage.. whatever, there are a ton of options for tuning the ecu. Throwing random bolt ons at the car with no specific thought process is just inane.

that's the million dollar question, is it worth it?

if you only want to beat your buddy, throw some nitrous in your car and beat him senseless,

but if you want to be faster all day everyday, you may want to do the header, pulley, and a flywheel (should definetely do it)

if you're worried about your motor lasting, from what i have heard here it definetely should. there are people here running 200thousand miles on their ka motors (both e and de), beat on them all day and still run strong, just don't forget about oil changes (regular maintenence WILL make the difference)

Get some PDM Racing Cams, Stillen Adjustable Cam Gears, and a ROM Burner. Then socket a spare ecu and read up on tuning theory. A really good ECU tune(more agressive than JWT) and cam tuning will net you 25-30RWHP.
