Do I need to tell the machine shop to machine a step on the flywheel to se-r specs, or 240sx step? it looks like there is no step but I cant tell when its worn down. All help appreciated.

there's a step-up of 0.005" on the 240sx. Better have one than to machine it flat, it's hard to tell when it's worn. Sometimes it still works when u machine it flat, depends on what clutch, but sometimes it wont . I got a friend who did his clutch 3 times because his flywheel was machined flat.

but this isnt a 240 anymore (unless Im mistaken) we're dealing with a sr20det, which basically has a maxima flywheel. So do whatever is required on a maxima

check distance between flywheel bolts and the springs on the disc vs the lining thicknessand maybe shim the fork pivot to compensate machining
