How the hell do you remove this thing? lol. Today was crazy, I finally got the engine out of the clip, but I wasn't able to get it on the engine stand because the flywheel was getting in the way.

I know the flywheel usually has some sort of hole that you can put something in to stop it from moving when you try to unscrew the bolts, but I couldn't figure out where it was...

Any answers would be greatly appreciated. :)

Use a flat headed screwdriver, braced up against the starter hole to hold the flywheel immobile. Just wedge it between two of the ring gear teeth. It works best with two people, but I've done it on my own before :)

lol, I'd love to, but I really don't feel like spending the time or money for an impact wrench at the moment. I just wanna get the thing on the stand! haha

what ya can do, is take a couple of the presure plate bolts in the flywheel, and use a bar and pry against those 2 bolts to keep the flywheel from spinning while using a breaker bar for the bolts, easiest with 2 ppl. and what i did when i pulled my ca, put the presure plate bolts in, then lower the engine onto an old tire, catchin the bolt under the bead of the tire, then using the breaker bar.

you can also put a bell housing bolt back into the back of the motor in one of the transmission bolt holes. Then have a friend use a good sized flat head stuck inbetween teeth on the flywheel and pry against the trans bolt, while you work to remove the flywheel bolts.

Well, for anyone who's interested, I ended up putting a pressure plate bolt back into the flywheel and letting that turn until it hit a hammer which I had strategically placed on the floor. That stopped it enough for me to get the bolts cracked.

The motor is on the stand finally :D.
