Are they any differences between a 92 flywheel and a 98 flywheel? I’m asking because the 98 240's have a sensor on the top of the bell housing that reads a magnet inbeded in the flywheel or something?

Anyone know?

From 7/90 all the way up to 98 they are all the same. The sensor you are talking about does have a magnet in it but it gets its reading from the up and down profile of the starter teeth. There is no magnet or anything in the flywheel. I did replace my flywheel w/ a Fidanza and broke the sensor when I was pulling the transmission. Tip: remove sensor before removing transmission. It's hard but from the top it is possible. 2 bolts. Good luck!
