there is no USDM replacement, so tell them there's no other option but to resurface it. and the part # isn't on the flywheel, so you can't go searching through a pile of JDM flywheels for it either (if you had a pile of flywheels to search though.. in which case, that would just be odd).

If its really f'd up I'd start searching for an aftermarket one. There's a cusco one on eBay right now, in the $400 range.

not bad for $300. The coldpipe is for an SR (even though they insist its a CA one in the auctions), so you have to cut it and either reweld it, or use another coupler on it.

*next time I'll read what forum I'm in and not get butthurt when I say the wrong thing and other people tell me I'm wrong*

As far as SSAUTOchrome stuff STAY AWAY!

I had a header for my 200sx that was supposedly stainless but in less than a year there were rust spots all over it....and I've heard of many people with the turbo manifolds getting cracks all the time.

ssauto seems to have a mixed reputation for creating crappy products, it seems like that was a big problem with their original SR manifolds, but some people have been using their CA manifolds for awhile now without problems. Again, scooby guy. Perhaps this is the first time you've looked at CA's before, we don't have any manifold options. Its SSauto, or stock.

the manifold they sell on the monsta site is an XSpower manifold. Same as in the SSauto auction for half the price. Why pay for it to be shipped to australia, then back again?

As for the SSAC manifold, I'm using one w/o any problems so far. There are at least 2/3 other people using them w/o a problem either. But there is also one member who ruined his brand new GT28RS turbo because some slag didn't get brushed off inside the manifold and it shelled the turbine blade, and bent the shaft.

I've owned their stuff and trying to make sure people don't make the mistake I did... I have a friend with a KA-T and had the SS manifold...went through 2 before he decided he didn't want to deal with cracks anymore.

[offtopic]Hey, I just realized you're in Mission! I'm in Topeka! We're like an hour away from eachother. I'm hoping to have my car running again this week, and tuned next week. I'm going to try to come up to KC after that. Do you know Dan Vogelsburg? He's the import pimp up there. If you don't, shoot him an email. His screen name is 240sx2nr95.

Awesome! I'm swapping to a 5spd tomorrow and hope to be at the KC Regional auto-cross this weekend....you ought to come up if it's not too much trouble.

My g/f is coming back into town though so I have to clear it with her before I get to play.

wasn't trying to be a prick... we get alot of really new car people who'll search, see that someone said "use a 240sx flywheel from a junkyard" in the CA FORUM. and think they can use one on their CA18. There are alot of parts from Pulsars and 200sx (old RWD ones) that fit the CA18DET, but flywheels is not one of them.
