So today while removing my clutch, i kept rotating the flywheel while removing the bolts...is that safe? It's connected to the crank which then rotates correct? Will that mess up the timing? Any helpful information would be Awesome guys...thanks..

naw you'll be ok. If you want it to stop moven' on you place a pry bar on one of the pins on the block so that it catches a tooth on the fly wheel, that way you can torque evrething

When you torque the flywheel down do what was said above or have someone stop everything from spinning by holding the crank pulley in place with a 3/4 in. socket.

I don't mean to hijack...but I'm going to. Does any one know the size, pitch and thread count on the flywheel bolts? i figured I'd match them at a hard ware store instead of paying $5 each from Nissan..

I use a rubber mallet on a 1/2 drive socket... Hit it to break loose... pb blaster helps Last time used a jack handle to give more hammer point/leverage for ease...

I would get the one's from Nissan. the harware store will cost you the same because they need to be the same Grade and size. If Nissan has done the work for you just get them
