Gentlemen of the NICO board~!

I have returned again to seek all your infinite wisdom and witty remarks! I just bought a S14 and it's in dire need of a new clutch, as you all may know if you're familiar with any of my past posts. After much debate, I've decided to go with a CN carbon sprung clutch kit.

The thing is, my cash flow is a little low due to my recent puchase. So instead of buying an aluminum flywheel, I'm going to Kragen and picking up a resurfaced one for $86. Then I plan on taking that resurfaced one to a machine shop and have them shave some of the "fat" off it, to lighten it up a bit. My question is, how much should they shave off?

And another thing, this flywheel that I'm ordering from Kragen is going to take about 2 weeks to come if I order it tomorrow, so if anyone has an extra stock flywheel for a KA24DE, please e-mail me at [email protected] and make me an offer. I want to do my clutch swap ASAP and I'm not willing to pay $350 in labor charges for something I can do myself, so any prompt response regarding the flywheel will be appreciated.

mattback: As light as possible without shattering it, right? How light would that be? I get the feeling my new race clutch will grab so hard and cause stress fractures.
