ARP makes flywheel bolts for the 4.6L Mustang. Just call summit and order bolts from a 4.6L -- these same bolts will bolt onto the existing threads of the crank and hold the flywheel tight. and it only cost $40 shipped. the size of the head is i believe 5/8".

Also, the flywheel bolts for an 89 dodge omni GLHS will go right in. I had to get 4 since 3 of my sr bolts necked at 94ft lbs. The Omni bolts torqued to 94ft lbs w/o issue.

What is the exact size check Advance they probally have them....if you can tell me size and length....I can tell you for sure. You wont have to wait on shipping. I know Jegs carry similar stock as well. What is the thread pitch of the stock ones...You would need M14 for your tq range.

They are an M10x1.0 bolt and would probably be close to the 20mm length available in the grade 10.9 and even grade 8 bolts at AutoZone. However, I think all of those AutoZone bolts come with a flanged head, and that might cause clearance issues between the bolts.

Are all 8 bolts bad? or are just a few messed up? When I ordered my omni bolts they accidentally sent me 8, I only needed 4. I have the remaining 4 extra ones I can mail you.

Make sure not to listen to people on here and torque them to 100. I learned that off her from a thread posted with somebody asked the specs and somebody said 100. Way to much. 70 is fine or just impact them on.. Im currently in the process of buying a new fly wheel bolt

If he overtorqued one, he probably overtorqued them all. They may be stretched but appear to be OK. To be safe, I would replace all of them.

I too followed some write-up suggesting ~100lbs which is way too much. I snapped the head right off the bolt which isn't too fun.

I just followed the FSM, set the wrench to the Nm and it was about 94ft lbs which all bolts with exception to 3 did. 100 is probably too much.
