OK, so my car has been done, and ready to drive for 3 weeks or so, just waiting on bolts for flywheel to crank, and clutch bolts(fastening down preesure plate to flywheel). I thought I had some coming from local, but never have gotten any in mail, so HELP!!!!!!! I drove a customers integra with 8psi on its turbo yesterday, and well, I miss having standard around to play with. Time to drive my Z.

I remember that a set of ARP fit, but you have to buy extra, oh well. Who has the hookup on the part #, or what they are listed for.

THANK YOU FOR ANY USEFUL HELP, Craig

Sorry, I read every word of your reply, but all I heard in my head was...

"A bunch 'a SR20 bolts will pull a premium a couple weeks before race wars..."

If you order OEM Nissan bolts you can get them for $4 and some change online at Courtesy Parts. I paid $9 or something insane for each and it got expensive at the local dealer.

Otherwise you can use the ARP bolts for the Pinto like mentioned. They're a couple mm longer than the OEM Nissan bolts but it's reassuring that the SR guys are using them already. They come in packs of 6, so you need 2 kits. Buy 4 kits and you have 3 sets.

There are probably lots of places cheaper than Summit once you figure in their BS handling charge, but they ship fast.

I just went down to my local fasteners supplier and ordered a bunch of 10.9 grade high tensile fine pitch thread bolts, not specific to flywheels or Nissan. They worked out fine.

I haven't been able to find ANY 10.9 M10X1.0 bolts that would work. I can find plenty of 8.8 bolts in the size but no 10.9.

thanx, I ordered them, I use Summit A LOT over the last 4 years, and am usually very happy with them. Also got bolts for the clutch to flywheel.

I am building a few of these, and will be needing them. But as stated, 38 with shipping is less then the 6.89 @ local x 8. Plus, I love to have a lil summit in each build, and these bolts are very good bolts.

In case some of you don't know this, you cannot use 8.8 for anything of importance, or major load. Just in case some of you dont know.

why? , 8.8 is the beginning of the high tensile range, unlike using 4.6 or similar....

find gr 8.8 all over the place on most cars, just labelled/marked differently!!!

IMO

They are not safe to use for holding a flywheel, engine mains, balancer, torque converter, driveshaft u joints, cam mains, .....

not strong enough, but After rereading my post it doesnt sound as I meant it.

For those who want to know, the ARP bolts for the crank are # 151-2801, pack of 6 need 2 packs.

Clutch to flywheel, are 108-2202 its a pack of 9 made for a honda DOHC, but fits great, and stronger then the rest.
