Flying Focus From Finland!

Saw this photo over at VW Vortex...awesome image of Markko Martin's Ford Focus at WRC Rally Finland.

Definitely good stuff. Rally Finland may be my all time favorite. After one particularly large crest, they said that Colin McRae's car travelled 30' through the air! I wish I could find a photo of that. Somehow his car wasn't damaged by the jump, but the rollover crash pretty much did it in. Luckily nobody was injured, although Colin seemed to leave his co-driver standing in the middle of nowhere while he got a ride in a helicopter.

There was a picture in the back of SCC a pretty long while ago... I guess a year or more... of a Subey in the air, they said it traveled some obsurd amount of distance in the air, anyway the pic was great, that Focus one is pretty good.

Yeah, that was kinda funny to watch...

Rally Finland is most definitly my favorite of the rallys, followed closely by Switzerland. Finland has some amazing jumps, and some awesome crashes. Like the rollover one, the into the trees one, and Marcus Gronholm's Front Passenger wheel M.I.A. ...
