You check your grounding? Clean all of the grounding connections or ad more and see if that helps.

HAHA, ok my experience, i was sitting in the crazyest traffic known to man had to flip on my back up fan, the 2md permacool, 20 mins later my lights got dim and i smelled a funny smell engine acted like it wanted to die, started making a weird whineing sound turns out my alternator took a ****, alternator might be taking a ****.

Is there a better replacement alternator, or just have the stock one re-wound to 90 or 100amps?

Thanks.

I think that I may have just answered my own question.

Per : zer...age=4

Mazda KL03 - 2.5L v6 (2nd Gen (93-97) MX-6 / Probe GT) alternator is a direct fit

Mitsubishi # IM 830 -14.4volts

And according to Impreziv
Impreziv wrote:all RB engines share the same starter as most longitudinal Subaru drivetrains. all the 2.5RS, WRX, STi, 2.5 legacys have the same one.
So, thanks for NUTHIN Carl!

Evan,

Thanks alot for the info! I'm trying to create a spreadsheet (Excel) for the RB series (RB25 in perticular) with all of the info on it from here and RaceBread. I started it last night. Any other info is greatly appreciated! Again, thanks for the info!
