you need a special machine. I don't remember what it's called exactly but I know it's hella expensive(at least a grand or so).

today my dad asked some guys who work on AC units what he could use to flush the system out, they said to use some R11 stuff to just shoot everything out or whatever

no, you can use a retro-fitting kit if you dont already use r134...

There is infact a special machine for evacuating the ac system, and venting it to the atmostphere not only makes you an *******, but it is also a $25,000 fine. Also if you turn someone in for venting their AC you may receive up to $10,000. This should clue you in as to what a serious problem this is.

If your AC sucks you can simply recharge it, just check the lines, i honestly cant remember if s13s have r12 or r134 but i imagine most s14s are r134

well.. thats the problem, the guy who owned the car before me did the retro-fitting kit, but, when i got the car hte AC was not blowing out cold air, a couple weeks ago we tried to recharge it, it did nothing, so we went to my dads friends shop and he sucked it out put some more R134 in it, it did nothing, he then sucked it out onto a paper towel, it had icky green oily stuff, soo yea, its all screwed up and i have a blockage somewhere in it again now. soo thats why i was wondering...
