Does anyone know of any companies that make flush mount tonneau covers for the hardbody?

Any specific requirements or uses? There are soft and hard and flip up or roll up covers. Each may even have their own individual charactersitics (from one brand to the next). Providing more specifics abouot what you want from the cover may help us answer your question better as there are many many covers out there.

Gotcha, sorry about that . . . I'm looking for a hard, flip up cover that fits flush inside the bed liner . . . I don't want anything that "spills over" the sides. I would also like it to be something that can be painted to match the HB.

When I was looking at covers for my Titan Autoanything.com had the best deals. I'm not sure if they carry anything for the Hard boby? I saw some that were black flush mounts in 3 sections like the Chevy Avalanch(sp?) that were very cool.

Searching around, I don't see any folding hardtop covers available for the hardbody. The closest I've found is the jackrabbit roll-up cover, but that sells for nearly $900. Not sure if that would be a worthwhile investment on a 1990 hardbody.

To top it off my Lund/Belmor rep called me today and said they don't make covers for the Hardbody anymore so whatever you do find will be a good find.

You know, I had a cdifferent picture than what you wanted in mind. I was thinking of the fold-up covers. Though, I don't recall seeing any flip up covers for the HB during my search either. You might try checking your bed dimensions and seeing if there is another truck that might have the same dimensions. It's a long shot, but who knows.

The role up kind are much better, because you can fit tall stuff in your truck still. Thoes in the pics don't allow for much cargo.

Im not too worried about the cargo space . . . I don't carry much in the bed anyways . . . never have.

I had actually thought so too. When I bought my Titan, it came with a very nice Leer fiberglass tonneau. I loved the look it gave the truck, but was not practical for anything that wasn't lower than the top of the bed. I ended up selling it and got a Bakflip cover. It has some issues, though, the manufacturer posted details about some changes they made to the new generation of the Bakflip that addresses the problems in another thread here. In any case, the fact that I can flip it up to the cab allows me to retain almost 100% use of the bed, and if I absolutely need the few extra inches of space, I can remove the cover with 4 bolts and carry it myself. The big problem with fiberglass covers is that they are rather heavy and awkward to carry alone and require a sizable space to store it while it is off the truck.

I loved the idea of a roll-up hard tonneau, but installing one meant the box would cover the utilitrack rail on the front of the bed. Of course, this shouldn't be an issue for you, so it might be a good option...albeit an expensive one.

I definitely understand where everyone is going with the practicality issue, but I'm just not worrried about it when it comes to the HB . . . If I ever need to haul anything I have another truck at my disposal. So for the the HB it comes down to what I think looks best . . . Thank you for all the constructive replies though. Very much appreciated.

If you find a manufacturer of one, please let me know. As for now, I'm in the process of making my own.
