this isn't supposed to be here correct? i can't imagine there is supposed to be fluid in it, i dont know why it's there if it isn't supposed to be. but it's a very thick oily substance, not like motor oil, but like a gear oil that is very black. i'm thinking it's from the crankcase ventiliation system and just got forced into there through the piping...thoughts?

whoah..never heard of that before.

The vaccuum line for the actuator, connects to the all the vaccuum related things on the plenum side.

For there to be more than a drop of oil in there, something catastrophic must have happened at sometime in the past, like a big oil leak from the turbo.

Squirt some metho in there until it comes out clear. I'm not sure what material is inside the actuator, but if it's some type of rubber, the oil might have started eating into it.

if I were you, i'd think about getting a new wastegate actuator. I wouldn't trust the actuator to work to long after that

well...the 240 i got, killer deal, 600 bucks and i drive it to work everyday, still, 191k mile single cam, so i had to find something to start putting together to put in there "when" the single cam goes, i'm not in a hurry though. that's why i asked you that one day for the stock IC pipes...remember? and i still need some by the way.
