fluid changes after break-in

just curious as to people's input on this topic. i know some people change atleast their oil after break-in (the intial 1200-1500miles). this is the first brand new car that i've owned, so the first time i've actually had to break-in an entire car. most i had to do was break-in a cylinder head and turbo i rebuilt.

I plan an oil & filter change @ 1k, followed by same every 3,333 miles, then just check the fluid levels till 5 years when I'll drain & flush the coolant.
