I have a 2012 Sentra SR. Aside from the oil change, how often are you supposed to change other fluids? Transmission, Diff, Transfer case, any other? I have 67k miles and I've never changed them. Thanks for your help.

I assume the differential and Transfer case only applies to 4WD. The Nissan service manual I have mentions all three should be changed at 60k miles. So I'm assuming I only have to change my CVT transmission fluid every 60k. Any other fluids I should change since my car has 67k miles? thank you.

I changed the CVT fluid in our Sentra at 55,000. You should change that and flush your brake fluid. You could also flush cooling system as well.

Anyone have any videos for the brake fluid and coolant change?

I found two different videos on YouTube for brake fluid change (Xterra and Leaf). One guy siphoned the oil brake fluid out of the reservoir with a Turkey baster, put new fluid in, than opened the bleeder screw and pumped the brakes about 30 times and refilled the fluid before it got low. He did this on all four wheels.

Another guy said to open the bleeder screw, press the brake, close the screw, than release the brake. He said not to release the brake while the bleeder screw was open because it would suck the air in.

So which method is correct? Thank you for your help.

To flush the brake fluid, empty out the master cylinder as best as you can and fill with fresh fluid. Have a second person in the car. Flush one corner at a time usually in the order of RR-LR-RF-LF. To flush, you open the bleeder, they push down on the brake pedal, you close the bleeder, they let up off the brake pedal. Repeat until you see clean fluid and move to the next corner. Be sure to check the fluid level in the master regularly and never let it go dry. As far as the coolant I used nissan 50/50 blue, they didn't have concentrate. I would stick with nissan blue. The radiator drain c*** is towards the center of the rad. You have to remove the lower splash shield, it's held in with a few 10mm bolts and some trim clips. Take rad cap off when cool and open drain c***. If you get concentrate close drain, refill with distilled water, replace cap and run the vehicle until the fans come on, let cool and drain, repeat this step a few times to get old coolant out. Then you refill the rad with concentrate. Check your coolant protection with a coolant tester. If you use 50/50 Be careful flushing with water as you can raise the freeze protection closer to 0°F when you add 50/50. If you use 50/50 buy a couple and use a jug or 2 in place of water to Flush.
