Ok my problem, engine fluctuates from 1500 to 2000 rpms. When accelerated hard it will stay stuck at that range or sometimes it will climb to 5k on its own. Throttle cable is NOT getting stuck!!

Now let's start from the beginning. The car would struggle to stay on when cold and will die on me at a stop signs and rpms where low (500-600). I took the car to Touge Factory to get looked at and the guy said I had a bad Injector and bad iacv. He said he adjusted the idle to 1100 so it would die on me anymore. The ride back home sucked as everytime I shifted gear, it kicked since the rpms were too high.

After getting the injectors back from service, I installed them but the car would not start. So I decided to play with the iacv since he had adjusted it. Turned the screw a bit and she fired right up but the idle was off. Tried my best to adjust idle to no avail, so I bought a used iacv "in good working condition" still no good.

I've adjusted tps to .5 volts at idle. Set timing crank set at 2nd mark from the left (tdc) and cas also set. However did not use timing light, not sure if its necessary??? Checked for vacuum leaks but non found.

Also noticed the temperature never goes up more than half way even with the fans off, I replaced the thermostat thinking the coolant might make it surge, no good.

Anybody please help. I've tried maybe hundreds of other threads and Google but no one ever solves the issue, or turns out to be something I've already done. I have nothing left to give with this issue :-(

Im pretty sure the iacv needs coolant lines hooked up to it to controll the idle, is it hooked up?

i've been having a similar problem with my sr swap. the idle was high and all over the place, i couldnt find any vac leaks, replaced the maf, tried new injectors etc. the cars not ready for the road, but i took it for a shot around the block, same thing happened when i would accelerate, starts reving high to around 5k, if i quickly put the peddle to the floor and let off the idle would go back to normal. i just assumed the throttle pully was getting stuck on a bracket i rigged up.

i pulled the motor for transmission problems and when i put the motor back in, the idle issue was gone and ran better then it ever did. my only guess is it had to be a vac leak somewhere. i didnt touch anything, just put the motor back in.

I've figured it out. Turns out the guy at TF adjusted the idle through the throttle stop scew so I was completely lost lol. I've taken care of that now she idles fine and purrs like a kitten.
