A bit too ricey for this car. I like the magnaflow rear section but don't know if it's a straight bolt on.

it's universal muffler like the flowtech. I'm not if the flowtec is straight bolt on??? The Magnaflow is not probably would have to pay a shop $50-100 to custom install it. Here the link:

I like the 14805.

Once I resolve my shimmy problem at 70mph plus, I will start modding my car, like custom intake and exhaust. Also install an integrated IPOD.

Pretty much any aftermarket muffler (aside from the JDM-type stuff) will have to be custom made for the car. Infiniti has a two pipe inlet almost right next to each other, the pipes resemble and "8." All aftermarket mufflers space their inlets a few inches apart, making customization essential. A few guys have done new exhausts, there is one on this board w/ a black 2003 who gutted the whole system and did a very good job from the cats back. It seems like removing the resonator after the y-pipe up front is the key to a good sound from this car. I remember after I had my 03 M45 for about 2 weeks it downshifted pretty hard and blew the welds on the back of the resonator - I swear what I heard was one of the best V8 sounds of my life. It was like an old 5 liter mustang with no cats and a glass packed resonator... a little aggressive and extremely loud, but a hell of a sound.

The shimmy is in my front end, at speeds of 70 mph plus my steering wheel shakes (shimmys). I bought a new set of tires and will put those on, hopefully fix the problem. If not I'll take it to a shop to see what's wrong. As far as dyno, I don't want to spend $120 for a two pass with A/F. Mainly because I don't see too many mods available for this car. I guess the only performance mod out there are custom jobs. Sucks you can't find an intake and cat-back for this car. Well a good looking cat-back.

Another thing, this website sucks! It takes me about 20 attempts before I can get to this link.

Hmmm ... can you bookmark the forum directly in your browser? That is what I do and I come back here with one or two clicks.

doesn't matter, when I navigate to different posts, forums, etc, I always get a blank page. Thanks for the advice and thanks for the wire information from the other post. I'll try it this weekend (hardwiring my V1).

Hey,

Does anybody have the ability to upload a sound clip of the new exhaust? I'd love to hear what it sounds like.

I had a 2002 BMW 540, and flipped the exhaust for a quad setup, and it sounded like a race car...

Best,

Eric
