Flow dynamics of turbo exhaust

I posted this question in the engineering section but theres not enough traffic to get a response.

Obviously the exhaust flows front to back but does it also have a spin to it on a turbo car? If you could see the exhaust molecules would they be straight like in the pic or more like a helix. The reason I'm asking is b/c I'm going to be putting on a morroso spiral flow muffler and wanted to know if it would flow better with the fins pitched one way or another.

Hypothetically speaking the exhaust gas would be coming out of the turbine in the counter clock wise direction if your looking at the back of the turbo, but any bend in your exhaust would probally change the flow. The best exhaust outlet for a turbo car that still has an exhaust on it is one that increases in size from the outlet of a turbo at I believe a 10 degree angle.... but i could be mistaken. I really dont think you will notice a difference either way, but if you are looking for an answer that is the best i can give you.

Shouldn't run out in a "cyclone" movement really, as all the gases are trying to push each other out from the wastegate, and with enough space inside the pipes, I would assume the "cyclone" phase would stop right away since all the molecules will disperse.

That was my initial assumption, but with the design of the baffles I second guessed myself. Hypothetically, if it was like a cyclone with a counter clockwise spin and the muffler was installed with a clockwise pitch it would "stall" the exhaust flow more or less going against the grain. I read a post that this design really hindered turbo cars, and a couple more that said it was equivalent to a glasspack but with less noise.
