floppy disk icon vs camera icon

Some threads have camera icons and more have floppi discs icons.The camera is for pictures what is the floppy disc for?

Yea, i think the floppy disk represents attachments and the camera represents linked images.

I thought the camera icon represents pictures, and the floppy disk was for links.
