i dont know how bad the stains are but here goes........
1) if they are just small spot stains say the size of a quarter or less you might want to try and do it yourself, you can buy a carpet cleaner made for your carpets, at any autozone, discount auto, napa or whatever you can find...even walmart or k-mart however its always best to contact your local car wash or detail shop and see if they can sell you some of there industrial strength stuff.
2)Or generally they can offer to clean carpets for around 30 dollars....steam cleaned.
3) If the stains are big then i reccomend taking it to a proffesional car wash, not the do it yourself kind and let them handle the mess. The reason is because when they steam clean the machine they use usually heats the water to over 180 degrees and they have a high suction hi removal capacity for cleaner and water.
If you spray cleaner on your carpets and it gets into the carpet, it will take alot of elbow grease and time to remove all of the solvent or cleaner, you just cant get it all out, even if you get the stain out...then the problem becomes....you having solvent left in the carpet which can in turn cause the stain to come back and come back bigger.
THE KEY IS NOT ONLY REMOVING THE STAIN BUT ALSO ANY RESIDUAL SOLVENT/CLEANER LEFT BEHIND...only good steam cleaning and strong vaccums can do this. So if its just a few spots do it by hand other wise you will be much better off having a mobile detail guy or a reffered detail shop do it for you.
If you do this yourself make sure when your done to leave your windows...(all of them if possible) down or cracked a bit for about 24 to 48 hours to make sure all moisture evaporates and does not form mold inside the vehicle.
