Hi , My car is doing a new problem.. I was trying to start it after an injector change. Its started first time but after 3-4 second , the idle just fly down and stalled. I try to start it agin but nothing happen its just cranking without any sign of starting... So im like wtf, i must have flooded it . I Took out each sparkplug and there were soaking in fuel.. so now my car is always flooding himself ...

Thing i did before this problem- Installed a FMIC (leak tested to 10 psi and its fine)-Changed my Injector for another set (used the same O-ring and lower o-ring- My Sparkplug were carbon fouled can this prevent the car to start ? There not a lot of carbon but there Really black.- Is there a way to test ignition power ? I tested it one time but the spark was looking extra weak ( took the ignitor and grounded it on the frame / didnt do any damage cuz the car was working fine after that )

tomorow im gonna reinstall my old injector crossing my finger that the problem will disapear , BTW i tested if the injector were leaking and there was no leak with the fuel rail out and ingiton On.

Any insight about this problem... would love to drive my car this summer... but Its a problem after another

I don't think there is any thing wrong with the car, the problem is from the driver lol.

As per our conversation on msn, let me know how it goes.

Good luck,

Please post what you did to fix the problem so we've got it for future reference, thanks!

WellI changed injector back didnt change anything ... Car is flooding himself.

The car started one time actually for 3-4 second, when i removed my fuel pump fuse it was running on risidual fuel pressure in the line ..

I did the injector verification got 2-3 omhs on each injectorI did the harness verification, everything is ohming correctly. The dropping resistor is good

I pressure tested again my intercooler setup fixed some leak .. it take aproxximatly 2-3 minute to the pressure to drop to 2 psi.

Compression is 150 on all 4 (cold engine). When i took the compression the needle was going up and down (on 2 cylinder). I stopped re-cranked the car and the psi was going up okay .. ? is this a problem with my gauge or something in the head -_-?

Anyway i tried looking for spark ...and i was not able to ground the coil anywhere to get a spark .. I hooked up my timing gun and i was getting no spark...

if there no sparks the car is not supposed to start but its started like i said before.. damn.. im getting crazy... àIm thinking of sending it to a EFI place to get all the bug sorted out ..

Well , im gonna look at the fsm to test my ignitor , coil and harness.. Any tips ?

Well i tested my ignition harness / coil and ECU And when i checked for spark i was getting some very weak fire...

With the coil and sparkplug still attached, i was only getting spark when i was touching my intake manifold. And it was a very weak spark withish and difficult to see. All my coil were the same. What can reduce the power of the ignition system ? bad power transistor ? bad ground ?

Bad coil or bad ground can cause a weak spark.

Use a wire that is grounded to the battery instead of using the intake as a ground, dirt on th intake where you placed the spark plug might cause a problem.inspect the ground points on your engine.

I am thinking of going to montreal this weekend, If I go, I will give you a shout, drop by and try to sort out your issues, but I am telling you, it is not the car it is the driver lol

Good luck,Rafi

If that can help, i relocated my battery to the trunk. My engine as 23 ground

2 for the intake manifold and one for the head.

there is another one on the firewall on the drivers side of the engine, as well as next to the ignitor chip, and the one on the passengers side ( inthk thats what you meant by the one on the head) and i think thats pretty much it for the engine bay. also the negeitve sideo f the battery has a monstrous one coming from it...

Well i got i started .. it was my fuel rail .. seem like they like to be hold with the 3 bolt .. lol The car runs but hard to rev below 2000 rpm after that the rev climb with some stumbling .. I cannot boost .. its making the same trouble.

The car run better in limp mode without any maf pluggued

In my search to find my problem I succesfully started the car 1 or 2 time ... but it was luck ... i didnt found why the car was really tough to start ...

Today i was looking at my ECU connector and there is a big wire that is blue with red stripe. Its more bigger than any other wires. I found that this wire was running in the sub harness for coil and its getting is power source in the gray plug we need to modify when we do the harness.

There is a connection at the Ecu for it ? cuz its coming out the big harness near the ecu and its was not hooked up to anything ? Im trying to find if in the FSM but im not real good to read electrical system.

there 12 volt when ignition is at ON

I hope my harness is not all butchered .. its my 2nd harness and the two were all ****ed... ho well

blue/red goes to the igintion coil relay (also goes to through the two connectors behind the battery), also it goes through the dash harness to the check connector(if you don't have it hooked up at the dash connector), it won't make any difference. It also goes to all 4 coil packs, BUT IT DOESN'T GO TO THE ECU.

Good luck,
