i have a 1990 240sx with a SR20DET (fully installed and running) and among other things a Blitz turbo timer and a Walbro fuel pump. The problem is the fuel relay i think. Basically, as soon as the key engages the cars electrical system the fuel pump starts pumping fuel into the engine, even if the engine isn't on. This floods the engine. All you have to do is pop the hood, disconnect the relay (in the fusebox), start the engine to let the flooded gas run out (takes about 3 seconds), reconnect the relay and you're good to go. however this is a major inconvienience i would like to fix. anyone know how to fix it and what is causing the problem?

I think you're right on the money with the fuel pump relay. Change the relay and be back on your merry way

Dealership is probably about 10 bucks. You can probably find someone parting out their car and get it for a couple bucks.
