I have 93 240 that has a newer black top swap. the car never starts and ends up flooding out. fighting and fighting blowing out the cylinder with shop air i got it started twice. the first time it ran for 15min then fell on it face and died. the secound time got it started cracked right up holding the revs a 4k the car random dumps fuel then revs back and forth to 4k runs smooth for a few secounds or a min does it again. the car was running a day ago before taking the head off to fix a striped bolt and sense then been doing this. timings good, fuel pressures good, o-rings on injectors good, must be a elec problem. need some ideas and specs and what i should test. i did clean up the wiring in the car last sat. when i had the head off to replace a vavle. it ran ok after that just runs crapy after the sec time i took the head off something changed idk what tho.

Mine did the same thing, I replaced everything and it was always breaking up. I had an ECU tune done, and it was done incorrectly... Took a few days to find out... that was the least of my problems...

if you can get your car started unplug your maf if nothing at all happens then your mafs bad, if the car gets worse then your maf is good.Maybe leaky injectors?

The MAF is good as far as i can tell, the voltage signal is correct and unpluging it makes it limit the revs' . i dont think that all 4 for injectors r leak since it ran a day earlier with no problems and now all for r bad idk? It seam like the car is getting the wrong signal and gives to much fuel while cracking. Think like the temp sesnor bad car thinks its cold and dumps fuel. Resistence of the to coolant temp sensor seam to be close to each other wti the car being inside at 74F but i dont know if there good r bad and if the signal from them or good r bad yet.

this may not be much help but... i read my chilton for the ka just for fun. and i ran acrossed a part of it wear it stated that upon startup that the car dumps a massive amount of fuel and then falls back down to regular fuel consumption in order to fire up. i wonder if your black top would do the same and it just isn't going back to regular fuel consumption. you might want to research this a little more. i will read again when i get home and see if i can find it again.
