Damn!!!! Got some heavy rain (8-10") in Houston today and I am out of town...My buddy called me to let me know that the car was under water (I left it parked on the street in the culdesac. Had him get the keys from my house. After he opened her up he found about 1.5" of water on the floorboards. He turned the car on and water started blowing out of the muffler. He vacuumed the water out but he told me that it looks like water got on to the seat controls. Going to have to file a claim and take it to the dealership on Monday to see what the damage is.. Wonder what that is going to look like

Might as well get rid of it after it gets patched up. Water damage usually plagues the electrical components even after the repairs. They would need to replace the padding, carpet, possibly seats, all the seats electrical components, all wiring harnesses under the carpet, change transmission fluid, engine oil, & filter, diff fluids, possibly pull the door panels and dry them and inside the doors..............

Just replacing the carpet and padding and drying everything out is only a patch up job.

Good luck, as the proper repair procedures will cost so much they may total it out.BTW, what year, model, and how many miles are on it?

Damn.

Hope your insurance company will take care of it good - It is a fairly nasty damage, so don't expect it to be 100% again.

What year and mileage on the car?
