In the North American market, the Smart is stupid. Its sole attraction is its short length which is helpful for parking in crowded European cities. Over here, you would be better off with a Honda Fit or Civic. If you are looking for something reasonably economical to flog, the Civic Si is an all round bargain.
I think your'e right on this point. Last year, the Smart was sold in Canada with a smaller, more efficient turbo-diesel engine. This year, maybe for more power or emission regulation in US it's now a standard (fuel?) engine.Sentientbydesign wrote:I think the ForTwo should be getting much higher fuel numbers for it's ridiculous size.

Let me start first by dreaming about the car--maybe have a wet dream of the car, and hopefully, one day, I will get to drive the real thing.
No one blames you for loving cars. In fact, we all love cars, and that's why we are here. However, what make you think you know what Nissan had in mind? I have asked you this repeatedly, but do you personally know Skyline engineers?Jacko3 wrote:Joe:
Can you blame me for loving cars? When i was a kid, my dad used to take us on trips while he flogged his cars as well. Some might say it was a little irresponsible to flog cars with kids in them. In all, my dad has only had 1 accident in all his life. So, I grew up witnessing how cars should be flogged. I guess, I will need some serious deprogramming of my mind from flogging any car. A friend of mine has already banned me from ever driving his car--I was only trying to show him what the manufacturers had in mind when the car was being conceived.
The tesla car will bake our cars easily. It has it's max hp at 0 rpms. The major problem that they are facing is the transmission. They have a 1 and 2 speed transmission and it keeps trashing through them.Kendahl wrote:The Tesla should match or exceed G performance if they ever get it into production.
